Currently The busiest sea routes linking Shanghai to Amsterdam are witnessing ships that used to sail through the Red Sea now travel around the Cape of Good Hope. The 2021 Suez Canal was blocked for 6 days, impacting just-in-time manufacturing globally
The ongoing drone strikes at the Suez Canal have caused shipping companies to divert vessels. The pandemic brought supply chains to a standstill in 2020, sending a shockwave through the sector, and we have seen the 10 warmest years recorded since 2010

Our story
Rutland Worldwide Freight is an independent, family-run freight forwarding company that was founded in 1994. Since then, it has grown to become a trusted partner for manufacturers looking for an agile, hands-on UK-based freight forwarding team
Today, we remain family-owned and fully focused on our customers, seamlessly delivering their goods anywhere in the world
Nick Edwards, FCILT, a former EU Brexit transition advisor and freight logistics and trade compliance advisor, heads up the team. Nick is fully supported by Jo, who arranges import clearances, prepares and reviews import documentation, bills of lading, cargo invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
As a team, they ensure the timely submission of documentation to customs authorities and relevant bodies and liaise with their trusted partners to ensure the seamless transportation of your goods globally
